Timelapse of the Shanghai Tower, standing among other buildings in Shanghai, China. China’s first sovereign dollar bond in more than a decade has done poorly for investors who scrambled to get a piece of the rare offering amid overwhelming demand. The tight pricing of the notes, lauded by China’s finance ministry, had a lot to do with it, according to analysts.

Hello from the 🐠🐡🐟 in our Rome office.
Happy holidays from Bloomberg LP.
Our new European HQ has been the perfect way to celebrate our 30th year in London. Earlier this week, our Founder and CEO @MikeBloomberg honored our employees, without whom none of our success would be possible.

Fast motion of commuters walking over London Bridge, next to the Shard, towards the City of London. The pound slipped 0.4 percent to $1.3425 as of 10:10 a.m. in London on Tuesday, after the U.K. and the EU failed to get a much-hoped breakthrough on Brexit with the issue of an Irish border derailing a tentative deal.
There's no better time than #GivingTuesday to give back -- whether it's money, mentorship, a meal or finding time to walk a four-legged friend. Let's give back this holiday season.

Bloomberg’s new European headquarters is built on a special place -- London’s Roman Temple of Mithras. ➡️ — The temple reconstruction was conceived and assembled by a team of leading experts from across a range of fields, including archaeology, conservation, stone masonry, engineering, heritage interpretation, art and exhibition design. — The reconstruction took 18 months to build, measures 18 metres long, eight metres wide and stands to a staggering height of over two metres in places. It replicates the ruined remains of the temple found in 1954 as closely as possible. — A team of archaeologists from MOLA excavated the Bloomberg site from 2010-14 in advance of construction of Bloomberg’s new European headquarters. — More than 14,000 artefacts were recovered, including 65,000 sherds of pottery and three tonnes of animal bone. The quantity and quality of the material has enabled archaeologists to bring the early Roman town of Londinium to life in extraordinary detail. — A collection of more than 600 of the artefacts recovered during the Bloomberg dig have been carefully selected for display at London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE. — Located at street level, Bloomberg SPACE aims to showcase the best in contemporary art while bringing fresh perspectives to the history of this unique site. The inaugural installation, Another View from Nowhen by Dublin-based artist Isabel Nolan, features two ambitious works that respond to the history of the location.
