Built by Bavarian King Ludwig II, Neuschwanstein castle is a romantic interpretation of the Middle Ages. It also celebrates the King's love of operas composed by Richard Wagner. Located in southern Bavaria, the elaborate castle cost around 6.2 million marks to build. Construction began with the first foundation stone laid in 1869. The Bower and Square Towers were finished in 1892, but the castle remains incomplete. Neuschwanstein was meant to have more than 200 rooms, but only 14 rooms are finished. The castle was barely lived in. Ludwig II only spent 11 nights in the castle before he passed away in 1886. The castle was built with modern technologies and conveniences. Neuschwanstein had running water, toilets that could flush, central air heating and even a working telephone. The castle boasts gorgeous views of two nearby lakes, the Alpsee and Schwansee, and has stunning vistas overlooking the nearby village of Hohenschwangau. Around 1.5 million visitors from around the world visit Neuschwanstein annually. There are plenty of great views of this picturesque castle, but one of the most iconic vantage points is from the Marienbrücke.

Britain's next leader will either be Boris Johnson, regarded as an eccentric, gaffe-prone populist who draws comparisons to President Donald Trump, or Jeremy Hunt, who has a reputation as a steady pair of hands, but whose commitment to delivering the country's exit from the European Union – Brexit – has been questioned.

The winner – chosen by an internal Conservative Party vote because Britain elects a party not a prime minster – is expected to be announced on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, current Prime Minister Theresa May will formally submit her resignation to Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. May is stepping down over her failed Brexit plan. She will remain a member of Parliament for now.

FARS, Iran's semi-official news agency, confirmed the capture of the British vessel and said Iranian naval forces detained a Liberian-flagged ship but later released it.

President Donald Trump declined to say whether the moves by Iran crossed a "red line" or how the U.S. might respond. But he noted that the U.S. has a maritime security agreement with the United Kingdom.

"It goes to show you I was right about Iran," Trump told reporters at the White House.

Dunedin, a small seaside city outside Tampa, cracks down on code violations, saddling homeowners with massive fines while its revenue grows. In 5½ years, the city has collected nearly $3.6 million in fines – sometimes tens of thousands at a time – for violating laws that prohibit grasses taller than 10 inches, recreational vehicles parked on streets at certain hours or sidings and bricks that don't match.

The Supreme Court ruled in February that local governments can't impose excessive fines. The decision is among the first constraints by the federal government on how much money cities and states can charge people for everything from speeding to overgrown lawns. But the court did not say what should be considered excessive, leaving local governments and residents with a question: How much is too much?

The hearing held by House Democrats targeted Trump administration's immigration policies and the rapidly deteriorating conditions in detention centers. Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan was hammered for hours by a congressional panel that pressed him on overcrowding in migrant detention facilities and other issues involving his department.

McAleenan's appearance Thursday before the House Oversight and Reform Committee centered on his role in separating migrant children from their families, conditions at the detention centers and a secret Facebook group where purported border agents mocked lawmakers and dead migrants.
